If you’re new to custom processing, you’re not alone. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.
Our most popular option, a 1/4 beef, runs approximately $1,325. That price includes the beef, all processing, and packaging. No hidden fees, no taxes. Here's the full breakdown:
1/8 Beef: ~$400–$485
1/4 Beef: ~$1,325
1/2 Beef: ~$2,650
Whole Beef: ~$5,300
Jersey beef is available at lower price points. Prices vary slightly by animal weight.
A standard 1/4 beef includes rib steak, sirloin steak, T-bone, round steak, chuck roast, arm roast, rump roast, brisket, short ribs, soup bones, and ground beef. Everything is custom cut — you tell us how thick you want your steaks, how you want your roasts sized, and how much ground beef you want. We call you for your cutting instructions when your beef is ready.
A 1/4 beef yields roughly 130–160 lbs of packaged meat and needs about 4–5 cubic feet of freezer space — a standard chest freezer handles this easily. A 1/2 beef needs 8–10 cubic feet. If you don't own a chest freezer yet, a basic one runs $150–$200 at most big box stores and pays for itself quickly at bulk pricing.
It's simple. You call or message us to reserve your spot with a $100 deposit. When the beef comes in from our local farmers, we hang it for 7 days to maximize flavor and tenderness. Then we call you for your cutting instructions, process it, freeze it, and you come pick it up. Total time from intake to pickup is about 1.5–2 weeks. We keep you updated every step of the way.
None at all. You don't bring an animal — we source everything from local Minnesota farmers. Most of our customers are first-time buyers. When it's time to process your order, we walk you through everything over the phone. If you have no preference on cuts, we'll use our standard breakdown. All you need to do is show up and take your meat home.
